"This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality. Embrace this moment. Remember. We are eternal. All this pain is an illusion."
Tool (and most of the work of Maynard James Keenan) is a huge influence on my creative endeavors. The only reason I haven’t done a Tool-based sketch before now, is that unlike my other recent band-based sketches, the band itself rarely (and not for long) ever appears in their videos.
I really wish people would stop asking (or insisting) that I ask to be on certain books. I can ask all I want, that doesn’t mean they WANT or would LET me. Some seem to think the reason I’m not working on more Doctor Who or have never worked on Spider-man is because I haven’t asked to. Oh, okay - why haven’t you taken over Microsoft? Have you asked? Crimminy.
"When I first saw you, I thought that I knew you. Now I know I don’t Just wish that I did."
Continuing on with my warmups based on the music I’m listening to… this is actually yesterday’s sketch. I’ll get today’s up ASAP.
Anyhoo, this’d be Mista Lawnge (left) and Dres (right) of rap duo Black Sheep. Perhaps better known for their hit “The Choice Is Yours,” I actually prefer many other tracks off of that album, “A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing.”
(More after the jump.)
"Lovely girl, you’re the murder in my world, dressing coffins for the souls I’ve left behind in time."
Continuing on with the posting of my daily warmup sketches (and apparently based on the videos of songs of which I was listening), here’s Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins in the video for “Ava Adore.”
